About Nova

Estimators first. Software-grade deliverables.

How we work

Measured on the plans, not guessed from a rate.

Every quantity on a Nova estimate comes off your own drawing set. We mark the plans as we measure and return the markup with the workbook, so any line in the estimate can be traced back to the place on the sheet it came from. Where the documents are unclear we raise an RFI rather than carry an assumption quietly.

Pricing is applied at the project’s zip code, with waste, crew productivity and current material costs carried line by line. A second estimator checks the file before it leaves.

Our standards

Six things every estimate does.

  • The markup comes back

Quantities are measured on your sheets and the marked-up set is returned with the estimate. Answer “where did that number come from” in the room.

  • Formulas stay live

The workbook ships unlocked. Flex a rate, a waste factor or a quantity and watch the bid move the night before it is due.

  • Priced to the project

Material and labor at the job’s zip code with local productivity — not national averages that leave you short or uncompetitive.

  • Scope is written, not implied

Inclusions, exclusions and assumptions in writing, so gaps surface while they are still free to fix.

  • Addenda carried through

When the set is reissued, the estimate is updated and the change is shown by division.

  • The trade’s own conventions

Duct by gauge, steel by weight, roofing true to slope — so leveling your subs’ quotes is straightforward.

By the numbers

Fast enough for bid day. Careful enough to bid from.

The working standards behind every estimate we send — the same on the first job and the fiftieth.
